It takes about 5 minutes to get to Lexi's school from our house, an awesome commute. Today after school she went to the art class in the Village Shops. Afterwards, she and her siblings along with the other members of the art class had a blast playing in the water feature just outside the door to the art class. What is more fun to a kid than a dozen or so spouts of water shooting up out of the ground?
Later at 7pm, I had the joy of meeting about a dozen neighborhood moms who were called together to meet some of the newest neighbors in the area (me included). This happened at the neighborhood restaurant just a few minutes away. We had a great time getting to know each other.
A different subject: While playing in the water today, I told Elijah not to run, he looked at me and plainly asked, "Why?" He even shrugged his shoulders with his palms turned up (something he no doubt learned from Belle, who always wants to know why). And he won't even officially be two until Sunday.
